The Portland metro region has undergone major demographic changes and children face multiple barriers to success, including lack of time and attention from a caring adult and limited English skills. Students often need additional out-of-school learning time to succeed.

Metropolitan Family Service recognizes that children’s academic performance and behaviors are impacted by economic and social stresses. To help address these issues MFS creates safe, engaging learning centers for children

Metropolitan Family Service offers multiple programs and services to strengthen school communities.
